Busy Week at Stamp Antonio Arts!

It has been a very busy week at Stamp Antonio Arts. We were preparing for our visit with our Guest Artist, Zana Clark, tidying up the place and making room for her trunk show of stamps.
Along with lots of new merchandise, and all of the April 1 releases of the magazines, we received good news of more Guest Artists to come in the next few months.
Stay tuned to this blog for pictures from our visit, and classes with Zana Clark. A wonderful time was had by all, and we want to take this opportunity to thank Zana for all of her hard work and time spent with us this weekend. We hope she will be able to come again, and share with us her wonderful techniques on making these beautiful and colorful art pieces.

Classes with Guest Artist Zana Clark. . . . . .

The Geisha Card Class, originally scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm has been cancelled, and a different class "Botanical Beauties" has been substituted. To see the beautiful samples of this class, stop by the store this week, or you can check them out at our web page; www.stampantonio.com under classes. There are also new photos there, so you can see the samples of these "beauties!" Classes are next weekend, so hurry in this week or give us a call to reserve your space in these exciting classes.
We are so pleased to have Zana here at Stamp Antonio Arts, giving classes and sharing her expertise and knowledge in the products that she uses. This is her first time teaching at Stamp Antonio, and we hope to make a good impression so she will return in the future and share more of her talent with us!
We also want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Easter this weekend, and hope the weather where you are is as wonderful and spring-like as it is here.

Until next time, Keep on Crafting!!!!!!!!

Classes with Guest Artist Zana Clark

The last class Guest Artist Zana Clark will be teaching, is the "Zia Sphere". The main subject in this piece is a 51/2" circle image stamped, and then decorated around it with other of Zana's stamps. According to the class description, there are several different circle stamps to choose from, each depicting a different theme. The two samples she sent to the store, used the water lily (above), and the leaf pattern.(check class schedule on Stamp Antonio's web site for picture of the leaf pattern)
From what I have seen on the samples she sent, I may have to take out a small loan, to afford all of the awesome stamps we hope she is bringing to the classes. Each stamp is so detailed and so beautiful, "I just have to have them ALL!"
Again, if you are interested in signing up for any of Zana's classes, you must call Stamp Antonio Arts at 210-342-6217 daily between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm to pre-pay and reserve your space in one of her fabulous classes. I'm positive that a good time will be had by all, and you will come away from her classes with several fun new techniques that you will be able to use in your OWN Art projects!

Classes with Guest Artist Zana Clark

This is the last installment on my review of classes to be held at Stamp Antonio Arts,
by Guest Artist Zana Clark. These last two classes will be held on Sunday, March 30,2008.
The Un-Quilt, shown above, is a very beautiful piece that will be a lot of fun creating and
assembling. The two samples she sent to the store are so amazingly beautiful, and contain so
many images that are stamped, painted, embossed and collaged with fibers, that it will be
awesome to see how it is all put together.
This seems to be the most popular class, so far as the sign-ups go, that if you think you might
be the least bit interested in taking this class, I would call the store and sign up NOW! It is filling
up fast!

Saturday Classes with Zana Clark

This is my second installment in reviewing the classes coming up the last weekend in March at Stamp Antonio Arts, with our visiting artist, Zana Clark.

Nature Chops Panel

The first class on Saturday morning will be this beautiful Nature Chops Panel. This panel is made up of several layers that will each be decorated using Zana's unique products and stamps and then combined together to create an exquisite work that can be enjoyed as is, or framed to your liking. This panel has so much intense color and texture that I could not capture in this photo. You should come in to the store to see it in person.

If you would like to create a work like this, be sure to call Stamp Antonio at 342-6217 at your earliest convenience, and sign up for this one-of-a-kind class.
You will be so glad that you did!

Saturday Classes with Zana Clark

This is the next installment in my recap of classes offered the last weekend in March, at Stamp Antonio Arts, to be taught by our visiting artist, Zana Clark.

Luna Quilt

Saturday afternoon's class is this Luna Quilt. It looks like a Nine Patch Quilt, but is actually nine individual rectangles that can also be used for card fronts. They are created individually on fabric and then placed together to make a pleasing design, suitable for framing if you desire.

There are still openings for this wonderful class, so if you love butterflies like I do, call us today to sign up for this colorful wall accent.

Just A Few Brush Strokes. . . . . . . .

Just a few brush strokes, a little watercolor and ink . . . . . . . . . and a LOT of instruction and dedicated practice, and you too could create a beautiful work of Art.
Five students have just completed the beginner's series of Oriental Brush Painting Classes at Stamp Antonio Arts. This class was taught by our own"master" and owner, Amy Fleming. We were all so pleased with the outcome of the class, and all we have learned, that we have persuaded Amy to continue with the classes in the coming months. There were several students that showed an interest in the class AFTER the series had already begun, so she will be starting an additional beginner's series soon. She is hoping to catch us all up to a point, so that we may all study and work together in the future. If you are interested in trying your hand at this beautiful art form, please give us a call at (210) 342-6217 or e-mail us at www.stampantonio.com.

There will be several NEW additions to this blog, coming soon! We are trying to persuade our fellow employees to share their talents on the blog, so keep watching, reading, and responding! Some of you may have also noticed changes on our web site. We have started listing some of OUR favorite Web sites/Blogs under the "Links" tab. We will continue adding new sites as we find them, so be sure to check them out and let us know how you like them! Sometimes we all need a little inspiration!

Don't forget that March is National Crafts month! Check out our Class Schedule on the Web site, and see if there is a "New craft" you may like to try. Also, check out the classes given by our Guest Artist, Zana Clark, who will be visiting the last weekend of March. She is teaching some very amazing techniques in these classes, and they are filling up quickly! So call in, and reserve your space NOW!
Until next time, Keep on Crafting!
