Back by Popular Demand!

We have also received another shipment of the 12 x12 scrapbook page size clear stamp sets from Fancy Pants Designs; Bella Brush, and Pollen Dust.
These sets contain an average of 30-40 individual stamps that can be used singly or in combination with others, to decorate cards and beautiful scrapbook pages.
We also have the larger 6 x 6 clear acrylic block that you need to stamp these larger images and they are printed with grid lines to help you position the images just right, exactly where you want them on your page.

New Stamp Sets Have Arrived!

The new stamps from Character Construction have arrived at Stamp Antonio. These are clear acrylic stamps that when applied to a clear acrylic block, and inked, give you a beautiful impression to be included in your art work. I have purchased several of these sets, and plan to make a series of cards for a friend that loves birds. ( In the chair pack, there are tiny birds sitting on the arm of the twig chair.) Many of the smaller images in this one set, are a tag with a tiny egg, a lovely little bird sitting on a nest wearing a crown, and several word tags. As soon as I get a few made I will post them here, so you can see them.

There is also a set with a great big tree, that would look great in a Halloween design card or invitation. As you can see, we received quite a few sets, but as with other new items we have received in the past, they won't hang around long!

Summer is nearly over, and School is just around the corner.

Hi everyone!

Things are heating up here in South Texas, the weather and the goings on here at Stamp Antonio! Summer break is nearly over, and the beginning of school is just around the corner.

So is our Fall Class Schedule, and many NEW things happening at the store.

Our class participation has picked up, now that families are returning from vacation and several of our instructors are planning NEW and exciting classes for the fall. The September/October Newsletter will be coming out with details in the next few weeks, so be prepared to be inspired and give your creativity a "jump start" into fall.

The CHA Show held recently was a giant success, with lots of New items on display. These new items should be arriving in the store shortly, and I will try to bring you pictures of some of the really neat things as we receive them.

We are also planning several Special Events and Contest's for the fall, and I will bring you all the details as soon as they are available. We had such a wonderful turnout for the Summer Card Contest with Memory Box, and a Halloween Contest in is the planning stages as we speak. So, get your thinking caps on so you will be ready to CREATE when the call comes out!

I also wanted to thank those of you who sent comments to me concerning the blog. I want you to know your comments are always appreciated and any suggestions will be considered, whether they are about something you see on the blog, or in the store. This is your access to us, and I will try to bring an objective opinion to all entries.

I am also working on a Poll Section addition to the blog, where you can vote on various topics applicable to artists and crafts persons connected to this blog.

I hope you all had a wonderful summer, and are ready to get back to "creating & crafting." Be sure to come by the store and say Hi when you have a chance, we love seeing you all.

CLASSES with Mark Jetton of DEADBEAT DESIGN Stamps

Saturday, July 28, 2007

We had a wonderful time Saturday, with our visiting artist Mark Jetton, owner and creator of Deadbeat Design Stamps.

Mark taught two classes, using his TEXAS themed rubber stamps that are VERY popular at Stamp Antonio Arts. Class one was his Four Room Book, and the second class was a Star Book he adapted to resemble the Texas State symbol, the five pointed star!

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Star Book class, and we really had a good time talking with Mark and picking his brain on all things TEXAS.

On behalf of the customers, owners, management, and employees of Stamp Antonio Arts, we wish to thank you, Mark, for your excellent instruction.
We hope we can persuade you to come again soon, and teach more of
your wonderful classes.
We have many samples on display, of Mark's stamps, and cards he has made for us. We also have his class projects on display for you to see if you stop by the store.

Until next time,

Mindy

COMMENTS REQUESTED!

Hello everyone!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for the wonderful comments you have given me on my writing of this blog. If you haven't been in the store lately, I would LOVE to hear from those of you who visit with us via the Internet.

The purpose of this blog is to keep our out-of-town visitors, as well as our local visitors informed of new stock we have received at the store, and the "SPECIAL" happenings that may not always make the newsletter.

I will also try to share photos of the above mentioned happenings and new stock, as availble.

Please be sure to check the blog frequently, there may be hidden "coupons" or "discounts" entwined among the entries in blogs to come! So you will have to read carefully.

Again, please send in your comments, or ideas of things you would like to see included in this blog. Until next time,

All the best to you!

Mindy

Demo Night with A Stamp in the Hand

Thursday evening we welcomed back Kat Okamoto and Joyce Hazen from A Stamp in the Hand stamp company. They were our Guest Artists, and held a demo and several interesting classes Thursday, July 26 and Friday, July 27th.

We had a full house, with first time stampers, and those of us who have visited with Joyce and Kat several times before. They try to visit us twice a year, whenever their busy schedule allows. They always bring a Trunk Show of all their NEW stamp designs, along with the "Old Standby's" that we have all grown to love.

At the FREE DEMO on Thursday evening, Kat and Joyce both showed in detail, their new release stamps, and how to use them. These two very talented women are very thorough in showing the experienced and novice stamper, how they too, can create beautiful "works of Art" with very little practice.

There will be more about these talented ladies, and some samples of their work in future blogs, so stay tuned!
