Is Winter Ever Going to End?

I don;t know why I am anxious for winter to end, but I am! This has been the coldest winter we have experienced in Texas in quite a while. It has been wet, and cold, and even slushy a time or two, but all for the best so they say. The Texas wildflowers should be out in full force this spring! I guess that is what I am looking forward to. The bluebonnets, phlox, indian paintbrush, mexican hats, and firewheels all make my heart flutter.

Although the flowers aren't out lining the Texas highways and byways yet, you can start planning now to collect the best Texas bluebonnet rubber stamps available. We have been stocking up on all sorts of Texas themed stamps available through our friend Mark Jetton and his Deadbeat Designs Stamps. Many Winter Texans(those that travel down south for the winter who live up north in the snow and cold)who are preparing to head home for the season are stopping by to collect a few of our Texas stamps to add to their collection. The request has been made for more bluebonnet stamps, so I will place an order very soon for them.

We are also preparing for FIESTA 2010 with lots of mariachi men, margaritas, sombreros, and fun chile stamps also from Deadbeat Designs Stamps. Senor Pepper is a fun stamp that is in demand every year about Fiesta time in San Antonio.

If you enjoy the stamp images by Mark and Deadbeat Designs, check out our Deadbeat Friday classes that started this year. Every last Friday of the month from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm I teach a class using one or several of Deadbeat stamps we have in stock.
Last month we did a box of All Occassion Cards using the NEW Texas Collage stamp and colored them with Prismacolor colored pencils. Mark was kind enough to mention them and show a picture of them in his blog.(link in the right hand column of this blog)
For our March project, we will be making and decorating two (2) picture cube blocks to hold photos or cards or any of your stamping projects. The samples will be on display at the store very soon, so stop by next week and sign up for our Deadbeat Friday class and have a rootin' tootin' Texas good time with us!

I also want to make mention of a new blog linked to ours, welcome to InkyJane's blog. She is someone very near and dear to us here at Stamp Antonio Arts, and we hope you will check out her blog very soon.
Until next time, Keep on Stampin'!
Mindy and the Team at Stamp Antonio Arts
